Dental visits should start early to recognize any problems. It is also an important way of getting a child used to the dental environment and removing anxiety issues that may arise at a later age.

Dental visits should start around 12 months of age or when the first baby teeth erupt as per the Australian Dental Association recommendations. Whilst treatment performed will depend on the child’s behaviour on the dental chair, we employ several techniques that will make your child comfortable enough to go through with the treatment. Specialist referral or treatment under General Anaesthetic/sedation will be recommended when deemed necessary.

This dental program is currently funded by medicare and is likely to be closed by 31 December 2016. We strongly advise that you complete all your child’s treatment completed by this date. Any treatment required beyond this date will incur normal private fees.
